One opportunity for the West Campus House System to realize its mission and program goals is to offer diverse models for formal and informal intellectual programs, including developing collaborative relationships in the Houses amongst faculty, students, alumni, distinguished visiting scholars, and a balance between social and academic life.  Each House has a guest suite for campus visitors - such as A.D. White Professors, artists, public figures, distinguished alumni, etc - who will engage with residents while living in the House for a short period of time.  The guests we host in the House System are those who want to interact with our community and are involved in something of interest to our residents.  An expectation of all guests is a planned interaction with members of the House.  This can be done in a variety of ways - a performance, lecture, workshop, shared meal, etc. or through a less formal but engaging discussion around an area of expertise and interest.
