Nam is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Biological Sciences and Sociology and minoring in Global Health and Psychology. He was raised in Staten Island, New York. On campus, Nam is part of the Biology Scholars Program, TA for the International Teaching Assistant Program, and a Facilitator for campus events.
Some of his extracurricular activities involve him being the Treasurer for the Cornell MEDLIFE, a mentor in two different organizations on campus, and a member of many other clubs on campus. As a pre-dental student, Nam is very interested in Dental Surgery and hopefully pursue a DDs/PhD degree in the future. His intended focus is to engage in clinical research - a concentration that encompasses his fascination with learning how we can prevent, diagnose, and treat illnesses in the human population He is also incredibly passionate about global health, volunteering, and community service work. He has traveled to many countries, including Peru, Ecuador, Honduras, Thailand, and Vietnam, with medical professionals to provide medical help to poor communities who can not afford the required care they need.
In his free time, Nam loves talking on the phone to his family, spending time with his friends, using his photography skills to capture the best moments, traveling, listening to music, reading, dancing, playing video games and just enjoy life. He is outgoing, always ready to meet new people and enjoy sharing his life memorable moments with others!
