Chelsea was born in Guangzhou, China and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She is an undergraduate majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations and pursuing minors in China and Asian Pacific Studies and Inequality Studies. She is currently unsure of what type of career she would like to pursue - and that’s okay. Chelsea loves learning about Human Resource strategies and applying it in a company setting. She highly enjoys learning about labor economic theories and seeing how these concepts pertain to real world circumstances. Chelsea is also passionate about staying informed on workers’ rights, social, and sociopolitical issues, specifically in China. She has had amazing experiences immersing herself in HR at a corporation during her times off school. She hopes to gain more exposure with social science research and writing over the school year.
Outside of class, Chelsea is the Co-Service Learning Chair of Cornell’s Alternative Spring Breaks Program. In her free time (if she has any), Chelsea loves to watch the sunset with her partner, cook for her friends, pretend she is good at playing the guitar, lose herself in nature, dream about being a farm girl, plan about being a farm girl, and have conversations about feelings, life, and the world.
