Graduate Resident Fellow
Growing up in Maryland and Montana gave Taylor an appreciation for both the excitement of the East Coast and the peacefulness of the mountains. Taylor is equally happy near a serene glacial lake and a bustling downtown market, and is happiest when either place involves people she loves. As an undergraduate, Taylor opted for peaceful plains and exciting tornados at the University of Oklahoma. At OU, Taylor majored in Letters, a classical liberal arts program, with an emphasis in Constitutional Studies. Her coursework helped prepare her for her next venture, law school at Cornell, where she is a third-year student and a J.D. candidate. Outside of class, Taylor invests in the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy and the Farmworkers Legal Assistance Clinic. In May 2015, Taylor married her best friend, Michael. Michael is a Ph.D candidate studying condensed matter physics at Cornell, and he was a GRF in Cook House in 2016-2017.
Since Taylor loves peacefulness and excitement, her perfect Saturday generally includes tea, hiking, sunny weather, the Ithaca Farmer’s Market, reading cookbooks, and sharing dinner and conversation with new faces and old friends. Taylor and Michael are excited for their second year on West Campus, and can’t wait to meet new students and to welcome old friends back to Cook House again. They hope you’ll stop by their apartment to hangout and chat this year!
