Graduate Resident Fellow
Stephanie is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering. Her research is focused on designing biomaterials that are compatible with the human body that can be used to make a wide range of products from contact lenses to cell encapsulation devices. She is particularly interested in making a tough hydrogel device that can be use to treat Type 1 Diabetes.
Outside of lab, she loves exploring the beautiful Ithaca outdoors, learning and exchanging new recipes (and eating good food!), and traveling. She is looking forward to creating memorable experiences with both new and returning members of the Alice Cook House Community!
Hobbies: cooking, drawing, board/card games, hiking
