Poppy McLeod is a Professor in the Department of Communication.She teaches the introductory undergraduate communication class, an undergraduate elective class on communication and decision-making in groups, and graduate classes on research methods and group communication theory.She loves to teach, and has been recognized with several teaching awards. Her research interests include communication and decision-making in groups, the development of teamwork skills among college students, intergroup communication, the role of emotions and identity in interpersonal communication, and the use of group processes in influencing sustainable behaviors. A House Fellow of ACH since 2013, she started the ACH knitting club, co-sponsored Tango night at ACH, and co-sponsored an outing to live in HD broadcast of the Metropolitan Opera.
