Born and raised in the suburbs of Northeast Ohio, Krista grew up loving endurance sports, music, and everything engineering. She rocked a kilt for four years at boarding school, where she was a tri-sport captain and a prefect. At Cornell, Krista is a junior studying Operations Research Engineering. She is also an Engineering Peer Advisor and a TA in the ORIE department. When she is not studying, Krista likes to play acoustic guitar, run, swim, and cross stitch. She can frequently be found working in the house office, studying in the seminar room, or grabbing a late night snack from the pantry. Krista also recently founded a gluten-free club (advised by House Assistant Dean Jen Majka!) to provide support for gluten intolerant and celiac students and is partnering with Cornell Dining to increase options around campus. She spent her last summer in Houston, TX interning for ExxonMobil Chemical Company and is excited to return to Ithaca's weather and Cook House as an SA!
